MISSION
The institute seeks to contribute to the formation of managerial skills required for economic and technological transformation of the country and the state. Gujarat in particular is now poised for large investments in the industrial sector and infrastructural facilities. SLIMS and SLIBM will endeavor to work closely with institutions spearheading this industrial revolution.
OBJECTIVES
SLIMS and SLIBM provide learning situation for entrepreneurs, practicing managers and young graduates:
- To acquire an understanding of tools & techniques of modern management.
- To hone their skills in solving complex organizational problems.
- To develop competence in resolving interpersonal conflicts.
- To foster positive attitude towards organizations and the society.
- To inculcate professional ethics so as to become enlightened and conscientious managers in business & other sectors of the economy.
The Design
The two-year programme is spread over 4 semesters. Each academic year begins in July and ends in April. A year is divided into two semesters of about twenty weeks each. The students have to undergo summer training for a period of 8 to 10 weeks at the end of first year.
